Hailey (29) and Justin Bieber (32) are celebrating a special milestone in their relationship: the eighth anniversary of their engagement. The model posted a picture of herself and the singer in an Instagram story to mark the occasion. The black-and-white photo shows the couple lovingly embracing and kissing. Hailey Bieber captioned the image simply with "8 years" and added two ring emojis.
Before their engagement in 2018, the two had gone through a breakup in 2016. "Negative things happened that we still need to talk about and work through", Hailey Bieber once told "Vogue" about that time. The couple got back together in June 2018, and the proposal followed just one month later.
Two wedding celebrations after the 2018 engagement
Justin Bieber announced the happy news on Instagram at the time with these words: "Hailey, I am soooo in love with everything about you! I am committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you and loving you patiently and lovingly." The pop star added: "My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY yours, and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life, Hailey Baldwin, and I wouldn't want to spend it with anybody else."
In September 2018, Justin and Hailey Bieber then exchanged vows in a civil ceremony in New York City. On September 30, 2019, they married a second time in a formal ceremony in South Carolina.
In August 2024, the couple's son, Jack Blues, was born. Hailey Bieber revealed to "Vogue" last year that the birth was anything but easy. There were complications and it took 18 hours until Jack came into the world. "The birth was the hardest thing I've ever done." Nevertheless, she wishes for at least one more child.
