Matty Healy (37) and Gabriella Bechtel (28) are married! The frontman of British band The 1975 and the model, better known as Gabbriette, tied the knot on Saturday in a private ceremony in Los Angeles.

The wedding took place according to media reports outdoors at the Castillo del Lago estate - a historic villa in the Hollywood Hills that was once owned by Madonna. The property is located near the famous Hollywood sign.

Romantic ceremony with prominent guests

A video posted on social media shows the newlyweds kissing at the altar and posing for wedding photos in front of the Spanish Colonial-style villa. Healy appeared in a classic black tuxedo, while Bechtel wore an elegant white wedding dress with a long veil. She paired it with a half-updo hairstyle and subtle makeup.

"Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel were married yesterday in a private ceremony in Los Angeles attended by their families and closest friends," representatives for the couple confirmed to People.

The guest list reportedly included numerous well-known names. Among them were Charli xcx and her husband George Daniel, drummer for The 1975 and thus Healy's bandmate. Other guests reportedly included Anastasia Karanikolaou, Fai Khadra, Alex Consani, and Devon Lee Carlson.

Bachelor party with The 1975 cover band

Before the wedding, Healy and Bechtel celebrated their bachelor and bachelorette parties. Healy reportedly hosted his celebration in Malibu and sang the song "The Sound" on stage together with The 1975 cover band 9075.

Fans also noticed a special tribute to the singer's career: In photos from the celebration, members of The 1975 and 9075 wore outfits reminiscent of various "eras" of Healy. The musician himself was seen wearing a red wig - apparently a reference to his look in the music video for "Give Yourself a Try."

A couple since 2023

Healy and Bechtel were first linked together in September 2023. Less than a year later, they announced their engagement.

On June 11, 2024, Bechtel showed off her engagement ring in her Instagram stories. The striking ring features a black diamond surrounded by pavé diamonds. "MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT," she wrote at the time - a reference to Charli xcx's album "Brat" and the engagement of Charli and George Daniel.

Charli xcx also played an important role in how Healy and Bechtel met. In 2019, the singer founded the band Nasty Cherry and brought Bechtel on board as a member.
