Judith Rakers (50) has said goodbye to her former home and introduced on Instagram her successor. The host writes there: "The little farm has been handed over... to the most wonderful successors I could imagine."
Rakers then reveals with a red heart emoji that it is her fellow host Lisa Kestel (40), who is moving in with her family and "with lots and lots of animals": "Some with fluff and some with feathers... and all will find their new paradise on the little farm...farewell little farm," the 50-year-old adds.
"I'm still sad"
Rakers also shares a clip showing the handover of the keys. It's time, says the former Tagesschau anchor while standing on the balcony, holding the keys up to the camera: "I'm handing over the little farm." Then she looks down, asks: "Are you ready?" and throws the key ring down. There Kestel can be seen, jumping for joy over her new home. "It's in good hands with you," Rakers says in her direction and adds, addressing her 434,000 followers: "I'm still sad."
The former news anchor had previously moved with all her animals from her farm near Hamburg to Rügen. Rakers regularly shares glimpses of her work as a homesteader on Instagram.
However, saying goodbye to her former house was not easy for her. She revealed in another video before the handover that it was a "difficult day" for her. "I've been clearing out and cleaning and doing so much in recent days." She didn't share that on Instagram because it was emotionally difficult for her: "You know how much I love the little farm in Hamburg." But this house simply needs to be lived in. "People need to live here who will take care of it," she explained. She's leaving "with a very heavy heart," but has found the best successors for her "little farm" that one could imagine.
