Simone Ballack (50) graces the cover of the new "Playboy" edition and is receiving a lot of encouragement from prominent colleagues. Positive comments are gathering under various social media posts by the magazine about its new cover star.

Lilly Becker (50) commented on Instagram with numerous fire and heart emojis and declared about Ballack's pictures: "Wow, simply wow." The model, who posed for the magazine last year, added: "I love it, babe." Reality TV star Danni Büchner (48) and actress Mariella Ahrens (57) also left a few fire emojis, and singer Anna-Carina Woitschack (33) applauded with a "Mega!!!" - just like actress Jenny Elvers (54). Reality star Iris Katzenberger (59) added: "I'm proud of you". Model Mirja du Mont (50) commented on the "Playboy" photos of Simone Ballack simply with "Beautiful woman".

Many other friends, fans and followers are also celebrating the photos: "Respect, and to all haters, learn some empathy first. Thank you Mrs. Ballack for the photos", it says on the 50-year-old's account. Or: "You can really be proud of yourself. Live your life the way it makes you happy. It's great that you took this step."

Why Simone Ballack decided on the "Playboy" photos

Simone Ballack didn't just pose for "Playboy", but also talks in the interview about, among other things, why she decided to take this step. She wants to use the pictures to fight against the beauty pressure that weighs particularly on women. "I'm now 50, I'm in 'Playboy', the photos are beautiful - everything is okay", Simone Ballack told "Playboy" according to a press release. This pressure doesn't decrease with advancing age, "ideally you should still look like a 30-year-old at 60", she explained. With the photos, the fourth-place finisher of this year's jungle camp season wants to show "that you can break free from it".

She also told magazine "Bunte" why the "Playboy" photo shoot took place in Portugal - the country where her son Emilio (2002-2021) died five years ago in a quad bike accident. "I decided to do it there very deliberately", she said. "I can't avoid Portugal for my whole life." Thus, this trip was a mixture of work and grief processing. "The shoot only lasted two days, then I stayed five days completely alone for myself. I walked up and down the beach and processed everything a bit."
