The second season of "Heated Rivalry" is currently being filmed in Canada. The set of the hockey series appears to be experiencing significant crowds. Series creator Jacob Tierney (46) is asking fans in a statement from his production company Accent Aigu Entertainment to be considerate of the cast and crew.
"To our incredible fans and everyone who shares our passion for the series: Your support, your enthusiasm, and your warmth mean the world to us. As we work on more episodes of 'Heated Rivalry,' please help us make them as good as they can be", reads the message shared on Instagram.
The appeal: "If you happen to pass by one of our filming locations, please give our actors and team the space they need to do what they do best." The statement promises that the wait will be worth it.
"Heated Rivalry" Gained Large Following
"Heated Rivalry" premiered in November 2025 on the Canadian streaming service Crave and quickly became a success. By the time the series launched in Germany on HBO Max in February 2026, it had already built a large international fanbase.
The series is based on the "Game Changers" novel series by Rachel Reid and tells the story of two professional hockey players, Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams, 25) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie, 26). On the ice, they are bitter rivals, but off the ice, a relationship develops between them that must remain hidden from the public.
What Happens in Season Two?
The second season picks up, among other things, the storyline from the sixth novel in the series, "The Long Game", and continues the story of Shane and Ilya. Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie are therefore returning to their roles.
So far, it's not known how closely the second season's plot will follow the source material. In that novel, ten years have passed since the beginning of their relationship, and the two still face the challenge of keeping their love secret. Ilya has left his team in Boston and joined the Ottawa Centaurs to be closer to his partner. He wishes they no longer had to hide their love. But that very desire puts their relationship to the test.
