Caroline Frier (43) is picking up her stethoscope once again. The actress is returning as Dr. Sarah König to the Sat.1 series world at Schliersee and will be appearing as a guest star on "Die Landarztpraxis - Team Sonnenhof" starting Thursday (September 10, 7 PM).

A medical case brings the doctor back to Bavaria: Dr. Ella Wagner (Nina Schmieder) believes at the practice in Weilhausen's Sonnenhof that a patient may have been infected with a mutation of the West Nile virus. Sarah König, who now lives in Milan, is researching this very pathogen.

A Reunion with Consequences

In her former home, Sarah naturally encounters not only her old friends but also her former fiancé and the father of her daughter, Dr. Fabian Kroiß (Oliver Franck). Will old feelings resurface?

"I can reveal this much: The story of Sarah and Fabian hasn't been fully written yet," Frier herself announces. It was "incredibly wonderful" to "see everyone on set again and also get a glimpse of the Sonnenhof, which is new to me."

From Berlin to Wiesenkirchen

Caroline Frier was part of the original cast of "Landarztpraxis" as Sarah König since 2023 and thus laid the foundation for the daily series' success. At the beginning, her character moved with daughter Leo (Katharina Hirschberg) from Berlin to the fictional Wiesenkirchen to search for her child's father and eventually take a job as a country doctor.

With the third season, Frier left the series as her character moved to Milan and other roles moved to the foreground. "Die Landarztpraxis was my baby," she emphasized in a November interview with Joyn. She is very pleased that the series continues to be successful without her and that another location has even been added with the spin-off "Team Sonnenhof."
