Pop star Beatrice Egli (38) has many fond memories of Bill and Tom Kaulitz (36), who served as judges during her season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar". The singer won the tenth season of the talent show in 2013. The Kaulitz twins were judges alongside pop titan Dieter Bohlen (72) and Mateo Jasik (48), founder and frontman of the band Culcha Candela.
"Brought cool charm to this show"
In the segment "Ein Promi, ein Joker" on the RTL show "Exclusiv - Weekend", Beatrice Egli spoke on Sunday evening about her time with the two on "DSDS". She likes to think back fondly on "the two guys" from Tokio Hotel - even though frontman Bill had initially voted against her. "They were very straight, they had a clear opinion, and I was able to change that opinion and I already liked them back then."
The Swiss singer continued gushing: "They were already stylish and they brought a cool charm to this show back then." She sometimes thinks, "wow, my career actually began with them".
Netflix documentary with too many private insights is not for her
When asked whether she could imagine a Netflix documentary in the Kaulitz style and would let cameras accompany her everywhere, she was reserved: "Yes, the everywhere would of course have limits." Because she protects her privacy and will continue to do so: "I do everything to ensure it is respected."
In her view, she already takes her fans along quite a bit into her life and career. "So much is already revealed, the new album 'Hör nie auf damit' also gives so many insights and such beautiful stories."
She played her joker on the topic of TV appearances. When it came to whether she would rather be a guest on Florian Silbereisen's show or Giovanni Zarrella's, she diplomatically left that open.
