Brooklyn Beckham (27) skipped his parents' family vacation again this summer. Instead of being on board the yacht "Seven," he and his wife Nicola (31) reportedly spent several days with his godfather Elton John (79) off the coast of Nice. This made the family rift visible once again, as his parents David (51) and Victoria Beckham (52) were in the Mediterranean at the same time.
Two Yachts and Hardly Any Distance
First, David and Victoria cruised around the Balearic Islands with their other children Romeo (23), Cruz (21), and Harper (15). A few days later, the yacht anchored in Saint-Tropez, as reported by the Daily Mail.
"Nothing has changed. That means: Neither side has reached out to the other," an insider explained to The Sun. And further: "It's devastating, and of course David and Victoria would like nothing more than to have their eldest boy with them on vacation."
The last family photo together with Brooklyn and Nicola dates back to Christmas 2024. Among other things, the 27-year-old was absent from his sister's birthday as well as David's ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The dispute escalated in January when Brooklyn distanced himself from the "Beckham brand" in his Instagram stories and accused his parents of putting their image "above everything else" and wanting to ruin his marriage.
The Godfather Caught in the Middle
Of all people, Elton John, who has known the Beckhams for over three decades and sang at Brooklyn and Romeo's baptisms, has become a constant presence at his side. The musician used to often "play peacemaker," according to the insider, but to no avail. Now he has apparently chosen a side: John follows Brooklyn on Instagram but does not follow David and Victoria's accounts. For the couple's engagement anniversary in June 2025, he publicly congratulated "the sweetest, most loving couple."
The former soccer star and the ex-Spice Girl have only made cryptic comments about the rift so far, repeatedly emphasizing their love for their children. "We've been in the public eye for over 30 years, and all we've ever tried to do is protect and love our children," Victoria explained in April.
