Zendaya (29) and Tom Holland (30) have celebrated their wedding. On August 4, the two actors gathered with family and friends at the Beaverbrook Hotel in the southern English county of Surrey, as US magazine "People" reported, citing a source. The couple had already tied the knot in a civil ceremony earlier this year. Celebrity portal "Deuxmoi" was first to report on the private celebration.

The luxury hotel is located in the Surrey Hills, not far from Kingston upon Thames in southwest London, where Holland grew up. The property has 56 rooms and suites, and the estate itself spans around 370 acres. Scattered across the grounds are cottages where Holland's brothers Sam, Harry and Paddy were accommodated, according to the US magazine.

"The wedding had a natural theme", the magazine quotes its source. With their black tuxedos, the three brothers wore delicate wildflowers in their buttonholes.

From colleagues to a couple

The two met on the set of the first "Spider-Man" film. Their characters Peter Parker and MJ kissed on screen for the first time in 2019 in "Spider-Man: Far From Home", while privately the actors spoke for years of a close friendship. Then in July 2021, photos surfaced showing them kissing in a car.

Two months later, Holland publicly congratulated his colleague on her 25th birthday, with a mirror selfie for which he posed in his Spider-Man costume. "My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays. Call me when you're up", he wrote. Zendaya's response came hours later: "Calling now."

A ring, a stylist and lots of rumors

In January 2025, Zendaya appeared at the Golden Globes with a large diamond ring on her left ring finger. Less than 24 hours later, "People" confirmed the engagement. In March 2026, her stylist Law Roach (48) then spilled the beans about the wedding itself on the red carpet at the Actor Awards: "The wedding has already happened. You guys missed it", he told "Access Hollywood".

Two weeks later, Zendaya wore a wedding ring at the Oscar ceremony on March 15, which she has continued to wear at other appearances since then.

Holland confirmed it rather casually

The marriage only became official in June, and in a roundabout way. In an interview with "Esquire", Holland rejected artificially generated wedding photos that were circulating online. His relatives hadn't fallen for them, he said in the interview published on June 16, because they had "all been there". Roach followed up shortly after on "Good Morning America": Zendaya's real dress had been better than the AI version.

Since then, Holland has spoken openly about his wife. On the British "Dish" podcast in July, he was asked who he would most like to vacation with in Greece. "I think my wife would be pretty good", answered the actor, who also appears with Zendaya in Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey". "It would be a bit weird if I said: Sorry, honey, I'll take Matt instead." He was referring to Matt Damon (55), also part of the "Odyssey" cast.

Zendaya draws her own line

Fans are unlikely to learn details about the civil ceremony, however. Zendaya explained on April 1 in the "Modern Love" podcast of the "New York Times" why she didn't confirm the marriage herself. She is well aware of the great interest in their relationship and can understand it: Both are public figures, grew up in front of an audience and played characters in love with each other in films. She doesn't want to dismiss it with a "Stay out of it".

At the same time, she herself is a very private person and tries to preserve things for herself and her partner. The couple doesn't want to hide, it's about protecting their shared joy with their loved ones. "I have my own little boundaries about what I address and what I want to talk about, but also what I'm willing to share", she said. She tries to find the middle ground.
