A German-language song is conquering the world: "Gut Genug" by KitschKrieg with Blumengarten and Shirin David has newly entered the "Billboard Global 200". Right out of the gate, the single landed at number 129 (chart week June 27, 2026).

The "Billboard Global 200" lists "the most popular songs based on streaming and/or sales data from more than 200 countries worldwide, including the U.S.", according to a statement. The track thus manages to leap far beyond the German-speaking region. Previously, "Gut Genug" had already topped the Official German Single Charts twice in a row, ranks among the top 50 on Spotify, and leads the charts on Apple. Now the song joins international superstars on the global leaderboard. "Gut Genug" finds its place between "Pinky Up" by Katseye and "Die For You" by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande.

From TikTok Snippet to Global Phenomenon

The success began online. On TikTok and Instagram, the chorus "Du bist gut genug" recently went viral - especially in the U.S., but also internationally by now. As the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" reported, prominent fans include Steve Lacy, Wiz Khalifa, and Lizzo, among others. Meanwhile, "Gut Genug" is also finding followers in Norway, England, and numerous other countries.

Curious: In the U.S., many listeners don't understand the German lyrics at all - and promptly turned it into a meme. Instead of "Du bist gut genug", they hear "Doobie Scoot Canoe", as the SZ describes. Singer Rayan is more pleased about the cover versions from around the world: "I've even seen the chorus in Finnish", he said in the SZ interview.

Who Is Behind "Blumengarten"

Behind the viral chorus is the duo Blumengarten from Velbert in North Rhine-Westphalia, among others: singer Rayan Djima and producer Sammy Eickmann. Why their song is going through the roof, the two can only partially explain themselves. "The rest is coincidence. You can't force it either", Sammy told the SZ. Rayan also attributes the hype to his high vocal range, which "just triggers something in people". The message apparently strikes a nerve. In a world full of optimization and beauty obsession, "Du bist gut genug" is a "message that everyone needs to hear", according to Rayan.

"Gut Genug" is part of the current album "Kitschkrieg Zwei", which was released on June 5, 2026 and is available on all streaming platforms. In September, the Berlin producer team KitschKrieg is also going on tour: performances will be held in Hamburg (September 23), Munich (September 24), Berlin (September 25), and Cologne (September 26). 255 and Blumengarten will be there as support.
