Tom Holland: 'Some of my movies were garbage'

Tom Holland (30) is currently traveling a lot. After completing the press tour for "The Odyssey", he's now promoting his next film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". His fourth solo film appearance as Spider-Man hits German theaters this week.

While Tom Holland finds it easy to gush publicly about his latest projects, this hasn't been the case with all of his films. The actor revealed this in an interview with "Dish Podcast".

In it, Tom Holland spoke openly about the challenge of promoting a film he wasn't enthusiastic about. He emphasized that he "absolutely loved" his press tours for "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" because he's genuinely proud of these films. And he added: He can't say that about all of his projects, though.

"When you're promoting films you're really proud of, it's very easy", he said. "Because when you're asked why people should watch this film, you're not lying to anyone. You genuinely believe people should watch it."

However, he's had different experiences in the past where people asked him: "Why should someone watch this film?" And he would just think to himself: "You shouldn't watch it because it's garbage", he added with a laugh.

Tom Holland didn't name any specific films he was referring to. He much preferred to continue gushing about his latest works. "It honestly really felt a bit like a victory lap", the actor explained about "The Odyssey" and "Brand New Day". "I really enjoyed it. I'm super proud of both films." The fact that he enjoyed filming so much may also be due to the fact that his wife Zendaya (29) also appears in both films.
