Marc Weinmann (28) is back in the Kolle neighborhood: The actor is once again slipping into the role of Luis Ahrens on "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten". As RTL announces, his guest appearance begins in the episode airing Monday, August 3 (7:40 PM, one week earlier on RTL+).

"Folks, folks, I'm back", Weinmann announces in the network's statement. From 2021 to 2024, he was part of the regular cast of the RTL daily soap, and in September 2024, his character said goodbye to Berlin. The reason for his return this time is anything but pleasant.

Support for His TV Family

A catastrophe has occurred in the Ahrens family during Weinmann's absence. Mother Nina (Maria Wedig) shot two people, Zoe and Carlos, and is in pretrial detention. Shortly after, it came out that she isn't even Toni's biological mother. "It was about time for Luis to come by, hold Toni's hand a little, and say to Nina: What's going on here?", Weinmann explains. The fact that Toni is no longer biologically his sister doesn't change anything for the character: "They just grow even closer together", says the actor.

The visit is far from easy for Luis. "Of course he tries to be strong for Toni, because this truth affects her much more directly", says Weinmann in an interview with RTL. "But at the same time, he has to watch his mother fall apart in this situation. That weighs on him just as much." At the same time, Luis wants to understand how Nina "could do something so horrific". His conclusion: "It's quite an emotional chaos."

With the comeback, fans are especially hoping for one thing: a reunion with Moritz Bode (Lennart Borchert), with whom Luis formed one of the show's most popular couples for years. Weinmann tempers expectations. "Luis is still in a happy relationship with his boyfriend Adam, so he doesn't have direct interest in Moritz", he emphasizes. "But of course there's still a connection between the two".

There Was Already a Brief Comeback in 2025

This isn't Weinmann's first return to the Kolle neighborhood. Already in June 2025, he was back in front of the camera for four episodes, at that time for Toni and Erik's (Patrick Heinrich) wedding. "Even when I left, I never ruled out returning for a brief appearance", he explained at the time.

This time too, Luis isn't staying permanently. "Luis returns to Canada to continue his studies there. That's why this guest role also comes with mixed emotions for me", says Weinmann. "But I'm simply very grateful to be part of this story once again." The reception on set felt as if nothing had happened in the two years: "That was a huge gift." He always carries his "GZSZ" character with him and feels with each comeback like he's meeting "an old friend".
