Six celebrities from comedy, social media, and gaming are facing a new challenge on Prime Video: The streaming service has announced the cast for the second season of "The Way Out". Participants include comedian Kaya Yanar (53), entertainer Marc Eggers (39), and content creator Selfiesandra (27). The six new episodes will be available for streaming exclusively starting July 31st.
The lineup is completed by Dilara (26), Mexify (29), and Gnu (37). As in the first round, the episodes will be hosted by influencers Julien Bam (37) and Joon Kim (34), who will follow and comment on the action.
Meet the New Contestants
The most prominent name in the lineup is likely Kaya Yanar. The comedian achieved his breakthrough in the early 2000s with the entertainment show "Was guckst du?!". His participation coincides with a transitional phase: Yanar has announced that he will end his live comedy career in Germany after his final performances in 2026.
Audiences know Marc Eggers primarily from reality and entertainment television - and as the former partner of Tokio Hotel star Bill Kaulitz (36). Selfiesandra has built a large fan base on social networks with humorous everyday videos and her direct approach, and participated in the RTL dance show "Let's Dance" last year. She now hosts the dating show "Make Love, Fake Love" on RTL+.
The rest of the group also brings significant reach. Dilara became known primarily through makeup, dance, and entertainment videos. Mexify contributes his experience as a gaming YouTuber and streamer. And Gnu is one of the biggest names in the German gaming scene: She was the first German gaming YouTuber to break the one million subscriber mark.
Solving Puzzles, Combining Clues
The show's format remains the same: Two participants at a time find themselves in identically furnished escape rooms and must fight their way out as quickly as possible. To do so, they must solve puzzles, cleverly piece together clues, and along the way master one or two physical challenges.
"The Way Out" premiered on April 24, 2025 with four episodes. Back then, a team of content creators with Papaplatte, CrispyRob, Julia Beautx, and Joey's Jungle competed against comedians Michael Kessler, Caroline Frier, Wigald Boning, and Mirja Boes.
