For her appearance at the world premiere of "The Odyssey", Zendaya (29) chose a gown that had already completed a small journey. The actress's sculptural Schiaparelli dress was flown by private jet from Paris to London after its presentation at Paris Haute Couture Week - just in time for the film launch event on Monday evening (July 6). This is reported by the US magazine "People".
Responsible for the look is Zendaya's longtime stylist Law Roach (47). According to his own statements, the fashion expert traveled directly to Paris to pick up the dress fresh from the runway. Speaking to French content creator Elias Medini, better known as Lyas (27), Roach discussed the operation in a clip shared on Instagram on Monday.
"A private jet is waiting for me"
"You selected this look for a premiere tonight", Medini noted, panning the camera to the dress, which was seen on a model. "Yes, I flew in for the show last night; a private jet is waiting for me", Roach replied, laughing. When asked what would happen to the dress, the stylist explained: He was taking it to London to dress a very special girl - meaning Zendaya.
The dress came directly from the runway of the Schiaparelli show, which opened Paris Haute Couture Week on that same Monday. The Fall/Winter 2026/27 haute couture collection presented there was designed by Daniel Roseberry.
Porcelain Look and Illuminated Fringe
The fashion house described the dress in a press release as a "luminous dress with a molded bustier in white glazed silicone with a porcelain look, featuring racerback and lace-up details as well as mirrored fringe". According to Schiaparelli, the elaborate fringe skirt in silver and gold is "illuminated from within".
Zendaya paired the gown with plenty of jewelry: a necklace with a 12.37-carat diamond plus an additional 76.11 carats of diamonds set in 18-karat white gold, along with diamond stud earrings from Chopard's haute joaillerie collection. In total, the actress wore more than 88 carats of diamonds. She swapped her recently short hairstyle for long waves on the red carpet, tamed by a braided headband.
Zendaya as Goddess Athena
The occasion for the appearance was the premiere of "The Odyssey" at the Odeon Luxe in London's Leicester Square. In Christopher Nolan's (55) adaptation of Homer's ancient epic, Zendaya portrays the Greek goddess Athena, who represents wisdom and war. By her side is her husband Tom Holland (30) - he plays Telemachus, the son of hero Odysseus.
"The Odyssey" opens in theaters on July 16.
