2016 changed everything for Miriam Höller (39): In July, she broke both feet in a stunt accident, and just six weeks later, her partner Hannes Arch (1967-2016) died in a helicopter crash. Ten years later, the former stuntwoman now looks back and shares her insights with her Instagram followers.
Look back much more often to see what you have already accomplished, she appeals in the video clip. That's exactly what she's doing today - ten years after the accident. Back then, her pillar of health collapsed, but also her career as a stuntwoman. And then everything happened incredibly fast, because shortly after that my life partner passed away and the pillar of my private life also collapsed.
Miriam Höller: Go out and get what you want
After these blows of fate, Höller lost her financial foundation and could no longer afford the house she had remodeled with Arch. During this time, she asked herself: Why even continue now? Why even fight? Life felt unfair. Until then, she had believed that good things happen to good people. Then she learned that she couldn't control everything.
And that's why I'm making this video: Because for so long I thought I would never be happy again. Many other people are also struggling with severe challenges and wondering why it's even worth continuing to fight. Today, Höller has a clear message for them: Fight! Go out there, get moving, and get what you want. She herself can say today that she is happy again. Also because she now knows that she can trust herself in difficult times.
Höller gives her followers two pieces of advice: Look around, look at your past, where you came from and what you have already accomplished. And go out there, make brave decisions exactly in the moment when you feel fear, because those are exactly the moments when you can prove to yourself that you are capable of so much more and are stronger than you actually believe.

Already last year, she explained in an interview with the news agency spot on news that she would describe herself today as a very strong, mature, confident woman. She has now made peace with the past. This moment came quite unspectacularly at home, after seven years. She has also processed the loss of her long-term partner. Hannes is now very far away for me and that's a good thing, she said.
Privately, Höller has now begun a new chapter: Since 2025, she has been officially in a relationship with First Dates host and star chef Roland Trettl (55).
