Three new faces are joining the cast of "Sturm der Liebe". Jaime Ferkic (36), Hannah Werner and Daniela Ziegler (77) are taking on new roles in the ARD telenovela after the summer break. This was announced by Bavaria Film.
Sommelier Wants to Uncover Identity Theft
Jaime Ferkic plays Massimo Foghetti, a charming sommelier from South Tyrol and the biological son of Alexander Saalfeld (Gregory B. Waldis). When he learns who his father is, he travels to see him. But after a serious car accident, he falls into a coma. Meanwhile, his former hospital roommate Adam Fischer (Philip Birnstiel) assumes his identity and wins the trust of his grandfather Werner (Dirk Galuba). After Massimo awakens from the coma, he fights to expose the deception - and for his place in the family.
Ferkic, who has appeared in films such as "Die Welle" and "Das fliegende Klassenzimmer", is taking on the role starting with episode 4617. This is expected to air on August 27, 2026. In a statement, he is already raving about working with the rest of the ensemble. "I'm enjoying the intensive time together and looking forward with great anticipation to the upcoming weeks of filming", he is quoted as saying in the announcement.
Teenager and Globetrotter Bring Fresh Energy
Daniela Ziegler and Hannah Werner will become part of the telenovela starting with episode 4633, which is expected to air on September 18, 2026. Ziegler, who has already had roles in "Rosamunde Pilcher" and "Tatort", plays Mona Fischer, a travel-loving retiree who comes to Bichlheim after personal tragedies. Her husband Jens died from a gunshot wound during a bank robbery. Since then, she has felt lonely - even though she still has her son Adam Fischer. About her guest role, Ziegler says: "It was lovely to be welcomed into the 'Sturm der Liebe' family for a time".
Newcomer Hannah Werner portrays 17-year-old Frida Rudloff. After her parents' separation, Frida moves in with her father Yannik (Jo Weil) and thoroughly turns his life upside down. After completing secondary school, she wants nothing to do with further education or vocational training and prefers to dedicate herself to her social media channel.
In a statement, Werner thanks everyone for the "great filming experiences" on set. "The whole team, the beautiful filming locations and my character Frida have become very close to my heart. I think my seven-year-old self would be very proud of me right now. I'm already looking forward to everything that's still to come."
"Sturm der Liebe" is still on summer break until August 24, 2026. After that, new episodes of the daily show, which has been on air since 2005, will air again on Das Erste from Monday to Friday at 3:10 PM.
