In just a few weeks, "Beauty & The Nerd" will once again see "Beautys" and "Nerds" facing various reality TV challenges together. The ProSieben format launches its seventh season at the end of August. The network announced which "Nerds" will be competing this time on Tuesday.
The show's concept: Eight "Nerds" leave their comfort zones and form teams with so-called Beautys, where both sides introduce each other to their worlds. Together they face various challenges and compete for a prize of 50,000 euros. Additionally, a makeover by designer Kilian Kerner awaits. ProSieben and Joyn will air the new season starting August 27 at 8:15 PM.
Between Wrestling, Cosplay, and Survival
Thirty-one-year-old retail salesman Patrick is introduced by ProSieben as a "Wrestling Nerd". He inherited his passion from his late mother. "Wrestling Patrick shows strength, fighting spirit, and confidence, whereas the real Patrick is shy, insecure, and doesn't know if he's truly loved", he explains.
Sasha (23) is competing as a "Cosplay Nerd". The content creator is passionate about anime, gaming, and cosplay. She hopes that participating will help her "have so much confidence and be able to rise above even the most idiotic and embarrassing things".
Danny (21) is also enthusiastic about anime. The insurance clerk is therefore competing as an "Anime Nerd". He mainly hopes the show will give him more confidence in everyday life: "I hope that 'Beauty & The Nerd' will help me not have so many problems leaving my apartment in the future."
"Survival Nerd" Sebastian (24), on the other hand, can hardly stand being indoors. The roofer is an enthusiastic outdoor fan and tests his limits by camping in nature with as little equipment as possible. He hopes the show will give him new impulses for his style and more self-confidence.
Comics, Gaming, and Tech
Nam (29) enters the new season as a "Tech Nerd". The media designer is working on his own virtual reality game and, according to ProSieben, mainly shows emotions when watching anime series. He hopes that participating will help him "think more with his heart and not with his head" in the future.
Thesi (30) is introduced as a "Cartoon Nerd". The stand-up comedian describes herself as an "all-around nerd" and is passionate about cartoons as well as gaming and cosplay. This should help her quickly find common interests with several competitors.
Ricardo (27) also brings multiple passions as a "Gaming Nerd". The dental assistant is enthusiastic about gaming, anime, manga, comics, and cosplay. Since he struggles with self-doubt, he hopes to be able to leave his comfort zone through the show.
The "Nerd" lineup is completed by Ben (29). The "Comic Nerd" has turned his passion into a career and runs a comic book store together with his girlfriend. Besides comics, he's also passionate about gaming, "Magic: The Gathering", and numbers.
ProSieben has not yet announced which "Beautys" will be competing in the new season.
