Prince William (44) was announced as a surprise guest on Travis Kelce's (36) podcast on Friday. The news of the British heir to the throne's appearance comes just hours before Kelce's wedding to pop queen Taylor Swift (36). In a teaser for the latest episode of the NFL star's podcast "New Heights", which can be seen on Instagram among other places, his brother Jason Kelce (38) says: "Our guest today is the 6-foot-3 prince from London, England."

"That's right: the President of the English Football Association, the Deputy Royal Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of Cornwall, the Lord of the Isles, Prince and Great Steward of Scotland, Earl of Chester, and Prince of Wales - please welcome His Royal Highness, Prince William!"

Travis Kelce cheered throughout the entire introduction and clapped to support the special guest. "Let's go!", he also called out. After Prince William's grateful reaction - "Now that's an introduction, folks, amazing!" - Jason Kelce added: "We had to make this really big for you, just had to make it really big."

Prince William likely won't show up at Travis Kelce's wedding

But even though Prince William is now appearing on Travis Kelce's podcast, the royal will likely not be dancing at his wedding in New York City. William and Princess Kate (44) will not be attending the celebration, the magazine "People" had already found out.

Back in May, the eldest son of King Charles III (77) had fueled the rumors himself. As a guest on the British radio program "Heart Breakfast", he was asked about a big wedding coming up in the summer. When asked if he had received an invitation, he was mysterious. "No comment", the heir to the throne laughed. He added: "I hope so - and I'm sure that maybe an invitation is circulating somewhere. We'll see."

William's daughter Charlotte (11) in particular is considered a huge Swiftie, meaning a fan of Taylor Swift. On his 42nd birthday, the heir to the throne visited one of the singer's concerts in London together with Charlotte and her brother George (12). The trio not only celebrated during the concert but also met the singer backstage. Swift posted a selfie with the royals and Kelce on Instagram. She casually wished her "M8" William a happy birthday. The abbreviation stands for "mate", an expression often used in Great Britain for "buddy" or "friend".
