The channel Sat.1 has revealed when the new episodes of "Villa der Versuchung" will air. The second season will start on Monday, August 3, at 8:15 PM and will be available simultaneously on Joyn. Host once again is Verona Pooth (58). Which celebrities will take on the challenge this time has not yet been announced.
Following a successful first season that premiered on July 7, 2025, the format is returning as a "strong brand" for Sat.1 and Joyn, according to the network. Filming began in February in Thailand. At the center is a jackpot of 250,000 euros, for which 14 celebrities compete. The concept is simple yet treacherous: Every comfort in the villa costs money - and this money is immediately deducted from the shared pot. The more lavishly the stars furnish themselves, the smaller the potential prize money at the end.
Every Luxury Has Its Price
Bed, sofa, pool or, new this season, clothing from the so-called "Anziehbar": Everything can be purchased, and every purchase reduces the jackpot. As a daily temptation, there's the "Kracher des Tages", such as an air fryer or an additional bedroom.
This creates a tension between frugality and extravagance, as well as between team spirit and self-interest. Day after day, the participants must make the same decision: indulge or abstain. How penny-pinchers and spenders in the house get along should make up a large part of the dynamic. A central role is played by the settlement ceremony, in which Verona Pooth regularly reveals the account balance. There it becomes clear who has resisted the temptations, who has given in, and who has shopped without regard for the shared pot.
Last year, the celebrities took advantage of the temptations numerous times, and so in the end only 9,199 euros remained of the 250,000 euros. This was won by Jasmin Herren (47).
