For many years, pop music star Michelle (54) has been on stage. On Saturday, June 27, she is set to appear one last time on Florian Silbereisen's (44) TV show. The show host, presenter, and actor hints shortly before the broadcast of "Schlagerbooom Open Air 2026" that the farewell will be emotional.
One Last Song from Michelle
"We have accompanied Michelle in our shows for decades - through good times and bad", Silbereisen tells the "Bild" newspaper. He and the singer have experienced a lot together. "This farewell is truly sad because I know she is very serious about it", he explains. At the same time, the show host promises: "It makes it all the more emotional when she sings her farewell song and even light drones above the stadium will cry."
Silbereisen had previously explained that TV viewers can expect a moving program. "It will be a very, very emotional show: Andrea Berg celebrates 25 years of 'Tausendmal belogen'. Nena will finally let her '99 Luftballons' rise again. And Michelle will stand on stage as a singer for the very last time and say goodbye", he announced according to ARD.
Nena Also Performs
Since the show was pre-recorded, Nena will also be seen. The singer just had to cancel two performances for Friday and Sunday. Nena shared on Instagram on June 25 that she broke her wrist and was scheduled to have surgery on Friday morning.
Other announced stars at "Schlagerbooom Open Air 2026" include Anastacia, Andreas Gabalier, Maite Kelly, DJ Ötzi, David Garrett, Beatrice Egli, Wincent Weiss, Mireille Mathieu, Vanessa Mai, and Andy Borg. Das Erste will broadcast "Schlagerbooom Open Air 2026 - Die Stadionshow in Österreich" on Saturday starting at 8:15 PM on TV. The show will also be available on ARD Mediathek.
