Sacha Baron Cohen (54) is bringing back wannabe gangster Ali G. The British comedian has announced a new movie for October 23rd, which will be titled "Ali G: Who Iz I?" This is evident from an Instagram post.

For the Instagram video, Sacha Baron Cohen once again slipped into the character he created and portrays. "Finally" they've made a documentary about him, Ali G explains in the clip. His new work will include "animal intimacy", among other things.
The US trade magazine "Variety" reports that the new "Ali G" film was shot in secret - just like his 2006 comedy "Borat" and the 2020 sequel.
Baron Cohen most recently also appeared as Ali G at the Wimbledon final. He wore a jacket that at first glance looked official from the hosting tennis club, but which also had the words "Official Weed Dealer of Wimbledon" printed on it.
In an accompanying video on Instagram, Ali G said according to the British "The Telegraph" at the time: "They say tennis is best played on grass, which is why I plan to sell as much of it as possible while I'm here."
The long life of fictional character Ali G
Baron Cohen created the Ali G character in 1998 for Channel 4's show "The 11 O'Clock Show" and played the fictional Londoner again in his own "Da Ali G Show" in the early 2000s.
In 2002, the movie "Ali G in da House" followed. With "Ali G: Who Iz I?", Baron Cohen will now also direct for the first time. The film is backed by Amazon MGM Studios.
As the fictional character Ali G, Baron Cohen has interviewed celebrities in the past including Donald Trump (80) before he became US President, David (51) and Victoria Beckham (52), and Noel Gallagher (59) from Oasis.
Baron Cohen has been nominated for an Oscar three times so far - for the scripts of both "Borat" films as well as for supporting actor for "The Trial of the Chicago 7".
