A new royal video is generating excitement: Princess Kate (44) has appeared together with her eldest son Prince George (12) - and many fans immediately notice how much the future king now resembles his father Prince William (44).
The occasion for the appearance was British Armed Forces Day. The clip was published via the official social media channels of the Prince and Princess of Wales. In the footage, the twelve-year-old - wearing a navy blue blazer over a light blue shirt - boards an aircraft at RAF Coningsby base in Lincolnshire. By his side: mother Kate in an elegant tweed jacket.
Honoring service and sacrifice
Accompanying the images, the Waleses wrote that they wanted to honor service and sacrifice and reflect on their time with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. They learned about the extraordinary history of the historic aircraft and met the pilots and technicians who preserve their legacy. Thanks go to all who have served and continue to serve.
For Kate, the location has special significance: since August 2023, she has been Royal Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Coningsby, where the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is also based. The material was filmed according to Hello! magazine about two weeks prior.
Fans celebrate the grown-up George
Reactions in the comments were overwhelming. Many users were touched by how much George has grown and is growing into his future role. One user wrote: When did George become so grown-up? What a beautiful appearance. Another reaction: Hard to believe we got this wonderful appearance from Kate and George - how lovely. Others praised Kate, who is absolutely perfect for raising the future king.
The fact that George beams particularly during an event involving aircraft is no coincidence. The young royal has long been interested in aviation. He reportedly took a private flying lesson as early as 2024 - according to Hello! citing the Sun, he flew at White Waltham Airfield near Maidenhead with a flight instructor while his parents watched from the ground.
George's younger brother Prince Louis (8) also shares the enthusiasm. He even dreams of becoming a pilot one day. Kate revealed this last October during her first visit to RAF Coningsby, when she herself sat in a flight simulator. With a wink, she added: I'll tell them it's eight years and a lot of hard work.
