Nickelback is returning with fresh music. The Canadian rock band announced on Tuesday on Instagram among other platforms their eleventh studio album "Everything Under The Sun", which will be released on October 30th. Along with the announcement, the group released the first single "Rattle The Cage".
It is the band's first complete album since "Get Rollin'" from 2022. This marks the end of an already eventful phase for the musicians around frontman Chad Kroeger. They recently released the documentary "Hate To Love: Nickelback" and sent their "Get Rollin' World Tour" to the stages, which according to the band became the fastest-selling and most-attended tour of their career.
"Every Side of the Band"
Singer Chad Kroeger promises an album that represents the entire range of the group. "This album has every side of the band on it", he explained. "There are songs that hit as hard as anything we've ever done, songs that take risks, and songs that remind us why we've been doing this together for so long."
About the first single, Kroeger said: "'Rattle The Cage' was the perfect way to kick the door open. The song carries the energy that we draw on every night on stage, and we can't wait for people to hear it." Guitarist John 5, who previously played with Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson among others, contributed to the track.
Nickelback achieved their international breakthrough in 2001 with the album "Silver Side Up" and the hit single "How You Remind Me". Since then, the group has sold nearly 60 million records worldwide.
