Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". What makes it special: Mark Ruffalo (58) can be seen as the Hulk again for the first time. The trailer focuses once again on Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland (30), who apparently loses control of himself. Searching for answers, Peter turns to scientist Bruce Banner, who seems to have found a way to suppress mutating DNA.
Banner's Warning
Banner demonstrates a device to Peter that prevents him from transforming into the Hulk. With a wink, he advises the young hero to run if he ever encounters him without this device. Shortly after, the joke becomes reality: Before Spider-Man's eyes, Banner actually transforms into the green giant.
In the trailer, Spider-Man faces other opponents as well, including the ninja organization The Hand and villain Scorpion. He receives support from Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher, portrayed by Jon Bernthal (49).
Theater Release in July
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" opens in German theaters on July 29. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. In addition to Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Zendaya as MJ, the film features Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, and Liza Colón-Zayas, among others.
The film's official synopsis describes a new beginning for Peter Parker: He fights crime in a world that no longer remembers him. His old friends seem to be moving on. The pressure triggers a change within him that he may not be able to control - but which could simultaneously be the only way to stop a new threat to the city that is invisible to everyone.
