"Die Verräter - Vertraue Niemandem!" returns to RTL and RTL+ with another season, and host Cathy Hummels (38) will be part of it, as the network has now confirmed. The show's eight new episodes will air starting August 17 "in a two-week event programming", RTL further announced. For the first time, 18 celebrities will compete against each other.
The new stars of season four
The fourth season will once again be hosted by Sonja Zietlow (58). In addition to Cathy Hummels, the participants include soccer player Max Kruse, actor Hardy Krüger, TV star Tine Wittler, entertainer Ralph Morgenstern, former referee Urs Meier, and former "GNTM" judge Peyman Amin. Also participating are host Marijke Amado, actress Alexa Maria Surholt, gymnastics star Marcel Nguyen, musician Gabriel Kelly, model Papis Loveday, actress Ania Niedieck, podcaster Philipp Fleiter, "Let's Dance" star Ann-Kathrin Bendixen, singer Joelina Drews, and the advertising star twins Julia and Nina Meise.
In "Die Verräter - Vertraue Niemandem!", there is once again a silver treasure worth up to 50,000 euros to be won. The new season centers around the question: Will the Faithful succeed in breaking the spell this time? For three seasons, the Traitors have triumphed in the end.
In "Die Verräter", celebrities come together in a castle. Among them are Traitors who are secretly selected and gradually eliminate fellow players to claim the treasure for themselves. Meanwhile, the others try to unmask the Traitors.
These are the previous winners
The first season of "Die Verräter - Vertraue Niemandem!" aired in 2023 and was won by the two music stars Anna-Carina Woitschack (33) and Vincent Gross (29). Season two's victory in 2024 went to reality TV star Jessica Haller (36) and dancer Oana Nechiti (38), while last year's winners were Mirja du Mont (50), Motsi Mabuse (45), and Charlotte Engelhardt (47).
According to the network, the new season starts on Monday, August 17, in prime time on RTL. The show will then air its eight episodes Mondays through Thursdays at 8:15 PM. On RTL+, the guessing game begins as early as August 3. A new episode will be available for streaming every Monday and Wednesday. The finale airs on RTL on August 27 and can be seen on RTL+ a day earlier.
