Ten women are making serious allegations against actor and singer Jared Leto (54) in a new documentary by British broadcaster BBC. Four of them are speaking about acts that may be criminally relevant. The alleged acts are said to have occurred between 2002 and 2016, when all the women were still teenagers according to the BBC.

The Allegations Against Jared Leto

One of the women stated that she was abused in a motel bathroom at the age of 17. Another woman was allegedly threatened with assault by Leto at the age of 19. With another woman who was 17 at the time, the actor allegedly had relations despite knowing she was a minor. It allegedly happened in California, where this is a criminal offense. He simply "dismissed" conversations about it. Between Leto and a then 16-year-old, there were allegedly suggestive phone calls during which he at least once suggested that the two of them should sleep together.

The latter was subsequently sent a non-disclosure agreement, which the BBC has also seen - and which was not signed by the woman. Four additional women reported for the documentary "Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret" about "strange" phone calls with the actor, often of a mature nature, when they were still younger. In some cases, the women's stories were corroborated through friends and family members who were informed about the incidents at the time. In some other cases, there are pictures and text messages that support the women's claims.

Leto Denies Allegations

According to the BBC, similar allegations against Leto have existed for decades, with the broadcaster having counted more than 120 comparable accusations on the internet. Despite multiple attempts, Leto has not responded to the BBC regarding the allegations published by the broadcaster.

However, US magazine "People" and "Page Six" now have an identical statement from the actor. "I have never committed assault in my entire life", the statement reads. "These claims are completely and categorically false."

In another report by "Air Mail" last year, nine women accused the actor of inappropriate behavior. A spokesperson for Leto reportedly also rejected all accusations at that time.
