In just a few weeks, there could be a special royal reunion. Prince Harry (41) will reportedly travel to his old homeland with his entire family in July for the first time in over four years. As a royal expert now explains, this is likely also the wish of King Charles III (77).
King allegedly wishes for reconciliation
Cynics would say that Harry and Meghan feel their star power in the US has waned, and they therefore need a dose of royal magic, claims author Phil Dampier according to the British Daily Mail. The King wishes for a reconciliation with his son and wants to see his grandchildren. The royal expert believes, however, that Charles wants to avoid a public meeting and would prefer to meet with his younger son privately.
According to Dampier's view, however, this is likely different for heir to the throne Prince William (43) and Queen Camilla (78). Harry's relationship with the royal family is generally considered to be strained. Harry has allegedly completely fallen out with his brother William in particular.
Whether Queen Camilla is interested in a meeting, however, is another question. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a family obligation and would avoid them, speculates Dampier. And according to him, it is now out of the question that Harry will meet with William and Catherine.
Harry would reportedly like to be invited by Charles
Prince Harry is expected to travel to Great Britain in July. He is expected to kick off a countdown to the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham in July 2027. The games for war-wounded soldiers were founded by Harry and are considered a matter close to the prince's heart.
Although there had been previous reports to the contrary, BBC News recently claimed to have learned that Harry may bring his wife Duchess Meghan (44), their son Archie (7), and daughter Lilibet (5). Charles has only officially met his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet together once. The Sussexes last traveled to Great Britain as a family during Queen Elizabeth II's (1926-2022) Platinum Jubilee. The former Queen passed away a few months later.
Prince Harry and Meghan live with their children in California, the Duchess's homeland. They officially stepped down from their positions as senior royals in 2020. Last March, the Sunday Times reported that Harry would like to visit the British monarch with his family at the Sandringham estate. If the King said: 'Come over and spend some time here with the family,' he would love that, a friend of Harry's reportedly said.
