Fans of Kida Khodr Ramadan (49) will likely see the actor and director more frequently on screen and the big screen in the near future. He wants to take on more roles again, the "4 Blocks" star says in a conversation with the U.S. industry magazine "The Hollywood Reporter". He also reveals that he will play the lead character in the first feature film by the Kleine Brüder.
Between Götz von Berlichingen and Aliens
"I've directed a lot, but now I want to work more as an actor again", Ramadan explains to the magazine. "I'm currently preparing for the lead role in 'Göz' by Nuran David Calis. And then I'll be shooting with the twins who made the series 'Die Discounter'. I will play the lead character in this film by Bruno Alexander and Emil and Oskar Belton. The film is called 'Aliens over Meck-Pomm'."
It was already announced last February that Ramadan will play the lead role under director Nuran David Calis in a reinterpretation of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's (1749-1832) drama "Götz von Berlichingen". According to a statement, he will become a modern anti-hero in an urban setting in "Göz".
Meanwhile, with Constantin Film, the Kleine Brüder, known for series including "Die Discounter" and "Intimate", are producing the film "Aliens over Meck-Pomm". Bruno Alexander (26) and Emil Belton (26) are directing, and they wrote the screenplay together with his twin brother Oskar Belton. The satire, which is scheduled to begin filming in the fall, is about a spaceship that crashes in a village in Mecklenburg. However, the focus of the story is not on the aliens, but on the citizens and life in the provinces.
