At the industry event Screenforce Festival 2026, RTL announced that it will expand popular shows like "Let's Dance" and "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!" next year. Both formats are entering their 20th season and are set to receive the longest airtime in their history in 2027. How long the shows will actually run is not yet known. However, according to "Express", the rumor mill has already started about who will enter the jungle camp. The private broadcaster itself commented on this on Saturday and is characteristically reserved.

RTL asks for "a little" more patience

In recent years, the celebrities usually spent 16 days in the Australian bush, most recently even 17. For 2027, RTL has now announced the "longest season ever" and emphasized regarding the first circulating possible campers: "Many celebrities would love to be part of the XXL season. Which names will actually end up on the official candidate list is not yet known." Fans would still have to be "a little" patient. RTL will announce the cast for the next season "in due time".

Five celebrity men have already expressed their interest

At the same time, the broadcaster picked up on the five men so far who are being considered for the jungle camp or are throwing their own hats into the ring. At the forefront of the rumor mill is reality star Aleks Petrovic (35), who revealed in an Instagram story that he could imagine doing the format.

Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht (34) explained in the reality documentary "Die Ochsenknechts" that he would be in, provided RTL makes him "a good offer". Godfrey Egbon (35), runner-up on "Germany's next Topmodel" this year, described the jungle camp in an interview as "naturally an option for me", actor Frank Kessler (64) already expressed interest last year. And host Elton (55) also assured Stefan Raab (59) during the jungle camp follow-up: "Yes, I would go into the jungle camp immediately."

Which celebrities will actually end up fighting for the jungle crown, which controversial winner Gil Ofarim (43) took in 2026, remains open for now. As "Express" reported, it is not even certain yet that Sonja Zietlow (58) and Jan Köppen (43) will host again.
