Two festivals, one weekend, and an almost identical lineup: Hurricane and Southside Festival are among the biggest open-air events in Germany in 2026 as well. Both twin festivals take place from June 19 to 21. Hurricane traditionally happens at the Eichenring in Scheeßel, while Southside takes place at the take-off GewerbePark in Neuhausen ob Eck. On Thursday, June 18, there was already a warm-up party at both festivals.
For Hurricane, 2026 is a special year: The festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The organizer announced an extensive anniversary program for the occasion.
Exclusive Shows
The lineup is prominently filled. Among the big names are Twenty One Pilots, Kraftklub, Yungblud, Papa Roach, The Offspring, Billy Talent, Florence + The Machine, Halsey, Provinz, Empire Of The Sun, A Day To Remember, Clueso, and BHZ. Additionally, there are Finch, Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys, Nothing But Thieves, Wolf Alice, SSIO, Donots, Bosse, Natasha Bedingfield, Pennywise, OG Keemo, Kaffkiez, and many more acts.
A special program highlight is the performance by Billy Talent. The Canadian rock band is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album Billy Talent II at Hurricane and Southside and plans to play the record in its entirety as well as additional hits. According to the organizer, Billy Talent will only perform at Hurricane and Southside festivals in 2026. Florence + The Machine and Provinz will also be seen exclusively on the stages of the twin festivals.
Musically, the range extends from rock, punk, and alternative to indie-pop, rap, and electro. The nighttime hours are also covered: The electro program includes Boys Noize, Modeselektor, Modestep, David Puentez, Tinlicker, and Roya, among others.

Saturday follows with Twenty One Pilots, Florence + The Machine, and Papa Roach. On Sunday, Billy Talent, Halsey, Provinz, Empire Of The Sun, A Day To Remember, Clueso, and BHZ are announced, among others.
At Southside, the main program begins on Friday with acts like Billy Talent, Halsey, Provinz, Empire Of The Sun, A Day To Remember, and Clueso. Saturday follows with Kraftklub, Yungblud, The Offspring, Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys, Donots, and Bosse. On Sunday, Twenty One Pilots, Florence + The Machine, Papa Roach, Finch, Nothing But Thieves, Wolf Alice, and SSIO are on the schedule, among others.
Tickets and Travel
For both festivals, in addition to the 2026 festival pass, individual day passes for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are offered. According to the organizer, Southside tickets are available for one day starting at 139 euros or starting at 279 euros including camping for all four days. At Hurricane, the festival passes are sold out, but day tickets starting at 119 euros are still available via the festival's official website.
For Hurricane visitors, the concert grounds opened on Thursday at 4 p.m. On Friday, the southern area opens at 12 p.m., the northern area at 2:30 p.m. On Saturday, admission starts in the south at 10 a.m. and in the north at 11:30 a.m., on Sunday in the south at 9:30 a.m. and in the north at 11:30 a.m.
At Southside, the festival grounds are located at the take-off GewerbePark in Neuhausen ob Eck. Those arriving by car should follow the signage and not rely exclusively on GPS. The parking lots opened on Thursday at 7 a.m. The camping areas are open from Thursday 10:00 a.m. until Monday 12:00 p.m.
