In April, the Prinzen announced their farewell tour with the motto "Bye-bye, take care!" for 2027. On Monday, Semmel Concerts Entertainment GmbH announced an update: More than 55,000 tickets have already been sold, and the concert in Leipzig on November 5, 2027 is already sold out. Fans can now look forward to another date in the Saxon city.
Those who missed out in the Prinzen's hometown now get a second chance: An additional date has been scheduled for November 4, 2027 at the Quarterback Immobilien Arena. Tickets for this show will be available starting June 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
They shaped many hits
The group, consisting of Sebastian Krumbiegel, Tobias Künzel, Wolfgang Lenk, Jens Sembdner, Henri Schmidt, Mathias Dietrich and Alexander "Ali" Zieme, is one of the most successful German bands. Since the early nineties, songs like "Millionär", "Alles nur geklaut", "Küssen verboten", "(Du musst) ein Schwein sein" and "Mann im Mond" have burned themselves into the collective memory. Six million records sold, 16 gold and platinum albums and two ECHO music awards are on the books, plus eleven albums - from the debut "Das Leben ist grausam" to "Krone der Schöpfung".
The organizer highlighted a special feature in a press release on Monday: Even after all these years, the Prinzen still stand together on stage in their original lineup. In an industry where lineup changes and band breakups are more the rule than the exception, this is a rarity.
Stage farewell starts in October 2027
In April, the band wrote on social media about their farewell tour: "Now the time has come. You have given us a wonderful time together. We were allowed to do what brings us the most joy for 35 years. For that, we would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. However, we now feel that it is slowly time to say goodbye. We will stand on stage together for the last time at the end of 2027." It begins on October 22, 2027 in Hof/Saale, and concludes on December 16, 2027 at the Hallenstadion in Zurich.
