Just in time for Helene Fischer's (41) two Frankfurt concerts at Deutsche Bank Park, a massive heat wave is rolling in. Temperatures up to 95 degrees Fahrenheit are expected for Friday, with 93 degrees still anticipated for Saturday (June 20). To ensure that the long-awaited concert evening of the 360-degree stadium tour remains enjoyable, organizer Live Nation has adjusted several regulations. For instance, admission has been pushed back to 5:30 PM, as stated on the Deutsche Bank Park website.
Later Admission, Closed Roof
The later admission time - originally, the gates were planned to open at 4 PM on both evenings - is intended to prevent guests from having to endure the blazing sun for too long, as reported by "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung". The actual concert start time remains unchanged: it will begin at 7:30 PM.
A spokesperson also announced that the stadium roof will remain closed. This way, the organizer aims to provide as much shade as possible for the attendees.
What Can Be Brought into the Stadium - and What Cannot
Bringing your own food and beverages remains generally prohibited. Only one exception is permitted: non-alcoholic drinks in unopened tetrapaks with a maximum capacity of half a liter. However, anyone hoping to pack an entire supply is out of luck - large bags must stay outside.
Nevertheless, no one needs to worry about thirst. Security personnel are keeping complimentary water tetrapaks ready, which will be distributed at the entrances and in the stadium as needed. The Deutsche Bank Park website further states: "In addition, publicly accessible drinking fountains are located in sections 14, 24, 32, 42." Foldable water bottles or drinking pouches with a capacity of up to half a liter may be brought in empty and can be filled on site.
A new rule was created specifically for the hot weekend: Unlike initially announced, fans are now allowed to bring mini fans or hand fans - provided they are not made of metal and have no sharp edges.
Organizer Appeals to Attendees
The organizer explicitly urges concertgoers to drink regularly and think about their own protection. A head covering and sunscreen are recommended. Prolonged stays in direct sunlight and attending the concert on an empty stomach should be avoided. Anyone who needs help or experiences health problems can contact the security personnel or paramedics. According to the organizer, their numbers have been increased for both evenings.
