End of a relationship for soccer star Giulia Gwinn (27): The captain of the German women's national soccer team and her longtime partner Constantin Frommann (28) have split up. The soccer player has now confirmed the separation to "Bild" and emphasized at the same time that the connection between the two continues to be characterized by great mutual respect.

"Conni was, is and remains a very important person in my life", Gwinn explained in a statement. "The mutual respect remains, even though our bond as a couple no longer exists." This ends a years-long relationship of the soccer couple.

Signs of the split emerged as early as May

First indications of the end of the relationship emerged several months ago. At FC Bayern Munich's championship celebration in May, Gwinn wore the ribbon of her dirndl on the left side - according to Bavarian tradition, a sign that a woman is not in a relationship.

Other clues also pointed to a separation: According to "Bild", Frommann reportedly moved out of the shared apartment some time ago. In addition, the former goalkeeper removed joint photos with Gwinn from his social media channels.

They met at SC Freiburg

Giulia Gwinn and Constantin Frommann met during their time together at SC Freiburg. Frommann had to end his own soccer career in 2023 due to irreparable hip damage.

Gwinn, on the other hand, continues to be actively successful. She has been under contract with FC Bayern Munich since 2019 and has won five German championships and two DFB Cup victories with the club so far.

The defender also celebrated great successes with the national team: In 2022, she reached the European Championship final with the German team, and in 2024 she won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.

While she is beginning a new chapter in her private life, Giulia Gwinn is currently fighting for her return to the soccer field. In April, the national team player suffered a serious shoulder injury and had to undergo surgery.
