Abby Elliott (39) has filed for divorce from her husband Bill Kennedy. The actress, who plays the role of Natalie on the series "The Bear", submitted the paperwork to court on Friday, July 17. This was reported by the US outlet "TMZ". According to the filing, Elliott lists July 8 as the date of separation, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason.

For daughter Edith (5) and son William (3), the actress is seeking joint custody, according to the report. She is also requesting spousal support from Kennedy, while her soon-to-be ex-husband would receive none. The producer is also expected to cover her legal fees.

They Met on Set

As reported by "Mail Online", the relationship began in 2014 during filming of the comedy "Sex Ed", for which Kennedy had written the screenplay. In front of the camera at the time were Elliott alongside Glen Powell, Haley Joel Osment, and Lorenza Izzo. That same year, the professional collaboration turned into a love story.

In October 2015, just before Halloween, Kennedy proposed to his girlfriend. "We had been together for about a year and a half, I think. It was a surprise", the actress later told the wedding website "The Knot". Kennedy had lured her out of their shared apartment under a pretext so a friend could prepare everything there.
