Taylor Swift (36) conquers the hit list once again: The pop star takes the top spot with her single "I Knew It, I Knew You" in the Official German Single Charts, compiled by GfK Entertainment. Following "The Fate of Ophelia" and "Opalite" from her current album "The Life of a Showgirl", she stands at the very top for the third time. This time she displaces Helene Fischer (41) from first place. The schlager singer falls to rank 52 with the MagentaTV World Cup song "Heute Nacht".

Record Start on Streaming Platforms

"I Knew It, I Knew You" is generating attention not only here. Shortly after its release on June 5, the track from the "Toy Story 5" soundtrack broke streaming records. According to U.S. media, Apple Music announced that the song is the most successful country single of 2026 and set a new all-time record for the most successful soundtrack single on its first day.

Spotify also reported top figures: "I Knew It, I Knew You" is the most-streamed country song by a female artist in a single day in the service's history. Amazon Music called it the world's most successful streaming debut of a track within the first 24 hours in 2026.

Niall Horan Leads the Album Charts

In the remaining positions on the single charts, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj follow with "Beauty And A Beat" at number two. Behind them, German rappers Summer Cem and Billa Joe land at number three with "Killy Manjaro". Zara Larsson slips from third to fourth place with "Lush Life". The top five is completed by Israeli alternative rock band Temper City with "Self Aware". The World Cup song "Dai Dai" by Shakira and Burna Boy also improves significantly, rising from position 22 to eleven.

As in the single charts, there is also a change at the top of the album charts: Niall Horan debuts at number one with "Dinner Party". With this, the former One Direction singer relegates Die Toten Hosen ("Trink aus, wir müssen gehen!") to third place. For Horan, this is his first number-one success as a solo artist in Germany. Previously, he had narrowly missed the top spot twice with One Direction and most recently in 2023 with his album "The Show".

RAF Camora makes it back to number two with a limited special edition of his album "Forever". Behind him, several new entries place in the top ten: Indie rockers Madsen reach fourth place with "Smile", Evanescence occupy fifth place with "Sanctuary". Florian Künstler ("Alles nur geliehen", six) and Pink Floyd ("8-Tracks", seven) are also new to the top ten.
