Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton (65), who once belonged to the inner circle of Prince William (44), Princess Kate (44), and Prince Harry (41), speaks about the three royals in a rare interview. However, when asked about the current relationship between the two brothers, the former private secretary to the trio remains silent.
Lowther-Pinkerton served for many years in the British Army and served, among other things, in the special forces unit SAS before later taking care of the royals. In conversation with the British "Times", he apparently wants nothing to do with the dispute. "You know what?", he responds when asked about the relationship between William and Harry. "I think I'd rather stay out of this Harry matter."
Former Private Secretary Likes Harry, William, and Kate
The former private secretary does reveal that he is well-disposed toward Prince Harry. "What I would say is that I liked him very much and still like him very much", Lowther-Pinkerton explains. Prince Harry also has positive qualities, and he himself is an incurable optimist. He also emphasizes that he "loved" both brothers.
He also has words of praise for the British heir to the throne and his wife. He regarded William as "the Lion King", as a born leader. Together with Kate, they remind him of his own parents. He describes the Princess as "a really cool woman". William "made a good choice" with her. "I think the two of them will be like my mother and father. I think they're great."
Lowther-Pinkerton, who met with the "Times" to talk about his first novel "Beyond the Edge of Light", also shares a small anecdote. During an official visit by Kate to Suffolk last year, he met the Princess again. She wanted to greet him with a kiss. This embarrassed him so much "that I nearly headbutted her. I didn't know whether to bow. That was so sweet of her."
