The Goldene Henne is featuring a new hosting duo this year: Florian Silbereisen (45) and Esther Sedlaczek (40) will jointly host the gala in Leipzig on September 4 starting at 8:15 PM. ARD confirmed corresponding media reports upon request from spot on news.
For Florian Silbereisen, this marks his sixth appearance at Germany's largest audience award, while for Esther Sedlaczek it's a premiere. Her excitement is correspondingly high: "Secrets out. I'm incredibly excited to be hosting the Goldene Henne together with Florian Silbereisen!", she wrote on Instagram alongside a clip showing the future hosting duo in festive evening attire - sometimes with, sometimes without the Goldene Henne.
Shared History on the "Maus-Show"
While Florian Silbereisen and Esther Sedlaczek haven't hosted together yet, they are nonetheless familiar with each other. Silbereisen was already a guest on "Die große Maus-Show" hosted by Sedlaczek, and even took over a complete episode in August 2025 when she was on maternity leave.
Apart from that, their professional focuses are very different. Berlin-born Esther Sedlaczek is known on ARD primarily as a host of major sporting events and most recently appeared on camera at the World Cup alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger (42). Florian Silbereisen hails from Lower Bavaria and has shaped ARD's major music shows for years, including "Schlagerbooom".
Last year, Silbereisen hosted the award ceremony together with Kai Pflaume (59). In 2024, he hosted the gala with Barbara Schöneberger (52).

Numerous celebrities can hope for one of the coveted audience awards on this evening. In the Entertainment category, Olaf Schubert, Laura Wontorra, Felix Lobrecht, Christian Ehring, and the ensemble of the Friedrichstadt-Palast are in the running.
Nominated for Film and Television are Hape Kerkeling, Charly Hübner and Christiane Paul, Felix Kramer and Susanne Wolff, André Kaczmarczyk, and Sebastian Bezzel.
In the Music category, Till Brönner, Kerstin Ott, Unheilig, Michael Schulte, or Pur could prevail.
In the Sports category, the list includes Philipp Raimund, Markus Rehm, Leo Neugebauer, Minerva Hase and Nikita Volodin, as well as Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt.
