The merger with Sky makes it possible: RTL will add "Diese Ochsenknechts" to its programming starting July 5. The network announced this on Thursday. The eight episodes of the fifth season will air on Sundays at 7:05 PM, expanding the previous distribution via streaming and pay-TV.

What is the fifth season about?

Content-wise, the latest season once again follows the life of Natascha Ochsenknecht and her children Jimi Blue, Wilson Gonzalez, and Cheyenne. Cheyenne's husband Nino and Grandma Bärbel are also part of the format. The production takes viewers through different worlds between everyday life on the Chianina farm in Austria and trips to South Africa or Dubai. Both family tensions and shared getaways take center stage, including a family vacation in Cape Town and a men's trip to Lapland.

The series is produced by B28 Produktion for Sky Deutschland. Even before the free-TV broadcast, all episodes are available on RTL+ as well as on WOW. With the additional broadcast on linear television, RTL aims to make a German reality documentary brand accessible to a broader audience.

"Diese Ochsenknechts" premiered in 2022. In 2023, a spin-off for Cheyenne was added: In "Unser Hof - Mit Cheyenne und Nino", she and her husband Nino Sifkovits provide insights into their family and farm life in Austria. The eighth and final episode of the fifth season of "Diese Ochsenknechts" was shown on Sky and Wow and on Sky One at the end of May.
