American country star Jon Pardi (41) and his wife Summer (37) are going their separate ways. In a joint statement that the couple published on Instagram on Friday, the two announced the end of their nearly six-year marriage.
"After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage", the statement reads. "Our daughters will always remain our highest priority, and we are determined to continue our relationship as parents with love and respect." They want to navigate the upcoming changes together as a family. "Thank you for your understanding, support, and respect", the couple concluded their message, which they simply signed with "Jon and Summer".
Jon Pardi takes break from social media
In his Instagram story, the "Head Over Boots" artist went one step further and announced a break from social media. "As I navigate this next chapter, I will be taking a break from social media to focus on myself and my family." His team will handle his channels for the time being, the musician continued. "See you at the shows."
For the Nashville-born songwriter, the end of his marriage comes during a professional high point. Pardi is currently on tour to promote his fifth studio album "Honkytonk Hollywood". Until December, concerts are scheduled in Ohio, North Dakota, Minnesota, North Carolina, and Virginia, as well as in Canada.
Two daughters from the marriage
Jon and Summer Pardi got married in November 2020. Two daughters came from the marriage: Presley Fawn (3) and Sienna Grace (2).
