Summer 2026 will be anything but quiet for reality fans. While some formats are still running from spring into the hot months, several new launches and new seasons are already lined up. A new RTL+ format is also set to provide fresh content for the reality calendar.

"Bad Boyfriends - Jetzt wird abgerechnet"

Charlotte Engelhardt (47) and Calvin Kleinen (34) are becoming a hosting duo. The two will host the new RTL+ reality show "Bad Boyfriends - Jetzt wird abgerechnet". Starting June 30, ten episodes of the new show will be available on the streaming service, released as double episodes over five weeks. The concept thrives on a twist: Eight men are lured to Tenerife with the promise of sunshine, a luxury villa, and parties - supposedly for a show called "Bro Island". But this format doesn't actually exist.

After the first party comes the surprise: The men meet their own partners, who have had enough "of empty promises, ego trips, controlling behavior, jealousy, lack of appreciation, or chronic immaturity", as stated in an announcement from the streaming service. The couples repeatedly come together for confrontations and uncomfortable truths.

"Villa der Versuchung"

The second season of "Villa der Versuchung" starts on Monday, August 3, at 8:15 PM and is simultaneously available on Joyn. The host is once again Verona Pooth (58). Which celebrities will take on the challenge this time has not yet been announced.

After a first successful season that premiered on July 7, 2025, the format returns as a "strong brand" for Sat.1 and Joyn, according to the network. Filming began in February in Thailand. At the center is a jackpot of 250,000 euros that 14 celebrities are competing for. The principle is simple yet tricky: Every amenity in the villa costs money - and this money is immediately deducted from the shared pot. The more generously the stars furnish themselves, the smaller the potential prize money will be in the end.

"Are You The One? Realitystars in Love"

"Are You The One? Realitystars in Love" is going into a new round. Among others, Raúl Richter (39) wants to find his "Perfect Match". Alongside the former "GZSZ" actor, other reality TV personalities are searching for the right partner. If everyone finds their "Perfect Match", they win 200,000 euros together.

Joining Richter are, among others, Daymian Weiß ("Willkommen bei Familie Weiß"), Marwin ("Temptation Island VIP"), Germain ("Are You the One?"), Emma Fernlund ("Sommerhaus der Stars"), Jenny Grassl ("Der Promihof"), and Julia Römmelt ("Beauty & The Nerd"). The new season is expected to launch in the summer.

"Love Island VIP"

Flirting is back on "Love Island": The VIP spin-off is heading into its third season and will once again be hosted by Sylvie Meis (48). Official details about the candidates for the dating show are not yet available. According to rumors, former "Bachelor" Martin Braun, model Hanna Weig, and reality star Eva Benetatou could be participating. RTLzwei merely announced at the end of May that filming had just begun at that time. The previous season started in mid-September 2025.

"Das Sommerhaus der Stars"

50,000 euros in prize money, a title, and a house full of cameras - that's the basic formula that RTL has reliably turned into relationship dramas for years. In late summer, "Das Sommerhaus der Stars - Kampf der Promipaare" starts a new round, and the network has once again assembled a colorful mix, including TV detective Michael Naseband (61) with girlfriend Shelly (30) and reality TV regular Nico Legat (28) with partner Laura Parrinello (26).
