Anne Hathaway (43) is pregnant with her third child. On the talk show "Late Night with Seth Meyers", the US actress gushed that it was "incredible". She went on to say: "I mean, we knew what we were doing, but we were so surprised that it worked!" The Oscar winner and her husband, actor and producer Adam Shulman (45), "were so surprised that it turned out this way". Laughing, she called the baby a "buzzer-beater" - meaning a last-second shot - alluding to her pregnancy at 43 years old.
"Die Odyssee" press tour with growing baby bump
For Hathaway and her husband, it's their third child together. In 2016, their son Jonathan was born, followed by son Jack in 2019. Hathaway shared the new baby news a month ago on Instagram with her followers. In a clip, she walks into frame with her arms crossed in front of her belly. When she moves her hands away, her baby bump is visible. "x Baby, you belong to me x", she wrote.
Since then, she has showcased her baby bump on the press tour for "Die Odyssee" (theatrical release: July 16) in various looks - including a red jumpsuit, a light blue dress, and most recently in a halter dress with a glittery top and pleated skirt.
She's grateful to be a mother
Just in April, she told "People" magazine in an interview that she was "just very grateful" to have already become a mother twice. "I know that not everyone who wants to become a parent gets that chance. I'm just overwhelmed by how lucky I am", she said at the time.
However, Anne Hathaway largely keeps her family life out of the public eye, with the Oscar winner being particularly strict about protecting her children's privacy.
