Francisco Medina (49) is returning to "Alles was zählt" for the tenth time. As RTL announced, the actor is surpassing his own comeback record. Just in July 2025, he slipped back into the role of Maximilian von Altenburg for the ninth time after a break. RTL will air the new episode on June 23 at 7:05 PM. It has also been available on RTL+ since June 16.
What awaits him in his comeback episode
The reason for his return is a death in the Steinkamp family: Following the death of Richard Steinkamp (Silvan-Pierre Leirich, 65), the will reading is imminent. Simone Steinkamp (Tatjana Clasing, 62) asks her son Maximilian to come to Essen for it. A clip from the episode shows Simone Steinkamp picking him up at the airport.
Previously, Maximilian had withdrawn from Essen after an escalation in the conflict with the Reichenbachs. After intrigue and threats, a deal forced him to leave. He left the city and also left his son Diego behind. Actually, he should no longer be allowed to enter Essen.
"AWZ" fans wished for his return
Francisco Medina himself commented on his return in an RTL clip. "I've been coming and going over the years", he said. He has been appearing in the series repeatedly since 2007. The clearer the story is, the easier it is for him to get back into it, he explained. The fact that the actor is returning again also has to do with the fans. He receives many messages like "We miss you" or "Come back". The audience is therefore "a big driving force" for him.
