After his defeat in the Wimbledon men's final, Alexander Zverev (29) is using the time for a short break. Together with his partner Sophia Thomalla (36), the tennis pro is spending a few days off on Ibiza - accompanied by dachshund Mishka, who now regularly joins them on their travels.
Just a few days after the final of the famous grass tournament, in which Zverev lost to Jannik Sinner, the couple was spotted on a yacht off the Balearic island. Previously, Zverev had already taken a boat trip with Rafael Nadal and other friends off Mallorca. Now relaxation and quality time with Thomalla are the focus.
The 29-year-old had already announced the timeout after the tournament in London. After a long and exhausting season, he wanted to take a few days off first before preparation for the upcoming hard court season begins.
Dachshund Mishka is always there
Dachshund Mishka couldn't be missing on the short vacation either. Zverev had given his girlfriend the dog last fall after her longtime four-legged companion had passed away. Meanwhile, Mishka seems to be particularly attached to his owner and regularly accompanies the tennis star to tournaments and travels.
On Instagram, the two as well as the dog's account shared several photos of their boat tour. One snapshot shows the two in swimwear and arm in arm with the dachshund in their arms.
Sophia Thomalla shared in her Instagram story several more photos, in one Zverev is looking into the distance with the dog in his arms, in another picture the four-legged friend is seeking shade under the host's legs.
Brief relaxation before the North America tour
However, the break won't last long. After a few days off, attention turns back to the second half of the tennis season. With the Masters tournaments in North America and the US Open, the next important competitions are coming up. Whether Thomalla will accompany her partner is not yet known. According to "Bild", the host has professional commitments in Germany during the US Open.
Zverev and Thomalla have been a couple for almost five years. The two confirmed their relationship in the fall of 2021.
