The Southside Festival in Neuhausen ob Eck (Baden-Württemberg) resumed on Friday evening after a weather-related interruption. Initially, organizers had been forced on Friday to pause the three-day rock festival near Lake Constance due to an approaching storm.

Continuation After Temporary Interruption

"Dear festival crowd, the festival is being interrupted due to an approaching storm. Please proceed to your vehicles now, as that's where you'll be safest!", was announced in the early evening on the festival's official Instagram channel. Those who had "room for other people" in their vehicles were asked to signal this.

A few hours later, the all-clear was given through the same channel. "The storm has passed, the stage program will resume soon and you are absolute legends for reacting so well and following our instructions!", stated another festival post.

At the same time, the Friday evening program had to be shortened. Among others, performances by A Day To Remember and Clueso cannot be rescheduled. Singer Halsey (31) was scheduled to be the first to perform at 10 PM on the Green Stage. "So, now let's get back to it! Southside Friday", the festival announced.

A total of 59,000 visitors are expected this year for the festival weekend. Before the evening storm, the festival crowd had already been battling extreme heat, which is likely to continue throughout the rest of the weekend.

Twin Festivals with Identical Lineup

The twin festivals Hurricane and Southside are both taking place this weekend and offer an almost identical lineup. Hurricane traditionally takes place at the Eichenring in Scheeßel, while Southside is held at the take-off GewerbePark in Neuhausen ob Eck. 2026 will be a special year for Hurricane: The festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
