Xatar, whose real name was Giwar Hajabi, was one of the most influential German rappers and, as founder of the label “Alles oder Nichts,” also a successful music entrepreneur. Director Fatih Akin turned his eventful life story into the 2022 film “Rheingold.” The Kurdish-born artist died in May 2025 at the age of 43.
