The "Goodbye Deutschland" stars Peggy Jerofke (50) and Steff Jerkel (57) tied the knot in Mallorca. After around 27 years together, the two TV personalities exchanged their vows on the grounds of a luxury resort - under an arch of flowers and in radiant sunshine, as RTL reports.
A Date with Symbolic Meaning
For their big day, Peggy and Steff deliberately chose an extraordinary date: 06/26/2026. In her Instagram story, the bride gave a glimpse behind the scenes before the ceremony and revealed her nervousness: "Today is the day. A sleepless night, 1,000 thoughts, and hoping that not everything goes wrong. Keep your fingers crossed for us." The 50-year-old continued in her message: "Tomorrow we'll wake up somehow different."
Discussions About the Budget
Congratulations came from, among others, the official account of the VOX show "Goodbye Deutschland". "Dear Peggy, dear Steff, heartfelt congratulations on your wedding!", it said there. The couple was wished much love, health, and happiness on their shared life journey. "May your marriage be just as adventurous, courageous, and full of solidarity as your step into the life of emigrants."
According to RTL, it wasn't an easy path to the altar. Especially the high costs for a luxury celebration according to Peggy's wishes repeatedly led to friction between the two beforehand. They eventually found their dream location in picturesque Canyamel in Mallorca.
Several guests at the wedding celebration at Cap Vermell Grand Hotel can be seen in Peggy's Instagram stories, including reality TV personalities Gina Beckmann and Lina Westphal, as well as "Bachelor" icon Paul Janke. "Bauer sucht Frau" star Patrick Romer and girlfriend Annelie Henze created their own Instagram post with glimpses into the celebration.
Ups and Downs Before Saying 'I Do'
Die-hard fans of the emigrant documentary know that Peggy and Steff have been through a lot together. The VOX format has been following the restaurateurs' life in Mallorca for many years. Their daughter Josephine was born in March 2018. But in November 2022, the two shocked their fans with the news that they had separated after 24 years. However, they eventually found their way back together. In April 2024, they announced their love comeback, and on June 10, 2024, Jerkel proposed to her again at the opening of his new establishment "Sharky's Bar" in Cala Ratjada. He had made his first proposal on her 39th birthday.
