Small mishap at Helene Fischer's (41) concert in Vienna: At the not quite sold-out Ernst Happel Stadium on Saturday evening, the zipper on her stage costume broke in front of 57,500 fans. However, the singer didn't let this throw her off and showed the audience her bare back.
"Something's different about Fischer"
The mishap happened just as Fischer, wearing a blue glittery bodysuit, was announcing her song "Fehlerfrei," as reported by "Oe24" among others. She commented on the fashion incident with humor. "Yes, you've probably already noticed, something's different about Fischer. The costume is a bit loose," she said laughing, as documented in a fan video.
She then explained the situation to her audience. "I'm wearing backless in Vienna because the zipper broke, yes," said the singer. She just hoped not to lose the costume entirely. She took the defect itself in stride. People work on the costume and the whole show "and mistakes happen, or rather, this is a material defect."
The costume had at least held up until the twelfth show of her tour, that one in Vienna. "But tonight it thought, well, this should be captured for eternity, so, rip, it burst. So we're going to do the whole thing backless here for you," said Fischer. The reference to eternity had a concrete background, as the Vienna evening was being recorded for a concert film. According to "oe24," this is scheduled to be released before Christmas.
Final concerts in Zurich and Munich
Around 57,500 fans came to the Ernst Happel Stadium, setting a new annual record at the venue. This put Fischer ahead of performances by Linkin Park and Böhse Onkelz, who each reached around 57,000 spectators there. The "360° Stadion Tour," which Fischer started on June 10 in Dresden, will next take her to Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich on July 14. The tour finale will take place on July 17 at Munich's Allianz Arena.
