Guido Broscheit (58) is saying goodbye to "Unter uns". The actor is leaving the RTL daily soap, with his character Jori Jansen withdrawing from Schillerallee. The network announced this on Thursday. The deciding factor for the exit are the events surrounding the death of Jori Jansen's daughter Stella, who was played by Bettine Langehein (37).

The Character's Death as a Turning Point

For Jori, there is hardly any alternative after the recent tragedies, Broscheit explained in an interview with RTL. Patrizia's shared responsibility also plays a role, portrayed by Miriam Lahnstein (51). "For Patrizia and Jori, Stella's death overshadows everything, of course," the actor said. The two characters had reunited in Cologne before the events overshadowed everything.

The farewell was filmed at the cemetery. It was important to him "that it was a good exit," Broscheit said. That wasn't easy: "On a daily soap, you have little to no time to do something again." All the more, he made sure to capture the moment correctly.

Thanks to the Team and the Fans

According to the actor, he looks back on his time on the series with gratitude, especially on working with his colleagues. "Everything just fit on a personal level, and acting-wise anyway," he told RTL.

Broscheit also directed a few words to the audience. "Thank you very much for your support. I noticed how well the role was received. That made me very happy," he explained. For now, he wants to take time for vacation and for family, friends, and his girlfriend.

The Door Remains Open

The exit doesn't have to be a final goodbye. Broscheit left it open whether Jori Jansen will return to Cologne at some point: "I can imagine anything. So never say never." A return of the character is therefore not ruled out.

The upcoming episodes of "Unter uns" (Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. on RTL) are available in advance on RTL+ as usual.
