Jonathan Bailey (38) has landed his next project: The 38-year-old actor will take on the lead role in a new audiobook adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic "Dracula". Audible announced this on Wednesday.

The "Bridgerton" star will lend his voice to the legendary Count Dracula. The star-studded ensemble also includes Ella Purnell as Mina Murray, Aimee Lou Wood as Lucy, Louis Partridge as Jonathan Harker, David Jonsson as Dr. Seward, Lesley Manville as Mrs. Westenra and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Professor Van Helsing.

What the "Dracula" Reinterpretation Is About

The reinterpretation tells the story from a psychological perspective: After her fiancé disappears in Transylvania, Mina Murray pieces together letters, diary entries and witness statements to track down the mysterious Dracula. When her friend Lucy falls under his influence, she begins the fight against the ancient vampire together with Professor Van Helsing - with Mina's sharp mind and determination becoming the greatest hope in the battle against evil.

The audiobook adaptation will be released on October 1, 2026 on Audible and can already be pre-ordered.

New Project for Netflix in the Works

For Jonathan Bailey, this is his next major project following his success with "Bridgerton" and the two "Wicked" films.

It was also recently announced that the Emmy-nominated actor will soon appear alongside Oscar winner Laura Dern in a new thriller on Netflix. The film "Monsanto" is currently being shot in Munich. John Lee Hancock is directing.
