Gary Barlow (55) has just completed the tour "The Circus Live - Summer 2026" with Take That - the revival of their 2009 concert tour. But according to the singer, this could have been the last run of this tour. He announced on Instagram that he "can't imagine" that he could "physically manage this show again".

During the "Circus" tour, Take That performed on a stage modeled after a circus arena. They were accompanied by numerous artists and a giant mechanical elephant.

"Pretty sure this tour won't be coming back"

"With the other tours, it was always reassuring to know that there would almost certainly be a next time", Gary Barlow wrote after the last gig in Dublin on Saturday. "But I'm pretty sure this tour won't be coming back", the musical mastermind of the boy band added.

Because: "When we originally performed this show, I was 38", Barlow wrote. Now he has to admit "that it was a completely different challenge to bring it to the stage as a 55-year-old".

Gary Barlow promises "brand new show"

That's why Barlow is leaving "The Circus" behind with an "extremely heavy heart". However, he can reassure Take That fans. Because he promises: "Now I'm diving into our next exciting, brand new show".

On the 2026 tour, Gary Barlow was only traveling with the two other remaining band members Mark Owen (54) and Howard Donald (58). Jason Orange (55), who was part of the band reunion in 2005, withdrew in 2014. Robbie Williams (52), who rejoined Take That in 2010, also quit in 2014.
